Carole Gordon

Carole’s journey was anything but traditional. For nearly 50 years, she dedicated her career to serving others, working as the Director of Development and Housing for an organization supporting individuals facing mental illness and homelessness. Her life’s work was grounded in care, responsibility, and a deep commitment to improving people’s lives.

At the same time, she brought completely different kind of discipline to her personal life. Carole is a two-time New York City Marathon runner and an XX time half marathon finisher, with a long standing focus on health, performance, and clean living. For years, that meant low-fat, low-calorie eating, and ice cream simply wasn’t part of the equation.

Until everything changed..

On her first trip to Italy with Malcolm, just after finishing a marathon, Carole was introduced to something she had never truly experienced before:

Real ice cream.

Over four days she tasted 1,500 samples of pistachio gelato, not casually, but intentionally. That experience reshaped her understanding of food, flavor, and quality. For the first time, she experienced what ice cream could truly be:

On the flight home, Malcolm turned to her and asked:

“Do you know what Nocciola is?”

She answered: “Hazelnut.”

And he said:
